Days gone graying
Days gone graying
—
An old man’s notice
Trivial tinges without
Fixating on things
Yet new spring holds fast
Bright green foliage turns bright
Effervescing light
Aptly piercing spurts of
Hope for a better next time
Passing a tin cup,
Help me hand raises
Lost tears burned dry the eyes cry:
His name was love, once
On the stripped cot
Alas the last gasp….
All that claims his flesh leaves the
Dream that held his soul

Weave eyelashes tight
The fabric of my red verse
Seeks the silky you
